One Night Only Flamenco Performance Not to be Missed
World Famous Spanish Performers Visit Edmonton
Edmonton, AB-Famed flamenco dancer and singer Annette Morcos is proud to be presenting a one night only performance by world famous Spanish flamenco dancer Cristina Hall. Accompanied by guitarist Manuel Alejandro Montero and singers David de Alcala, and Pirouz de Caspio, the evening will be a powerful demonstration of passion and talent.
“El Sonido del Silencio” The Sound of Silence will be presented at the Westbury Theatre in Edmonton on Sunday September 14 at 7:00pm and Edmontonians who have never experienced the power of flamenco should consider this evening as one of the best introductions to the medium. Direct from Sevilla Spain, the dancers and musicians are thrilled to be stopping in our city as part of their concert series.
"El Sonido del Silencio" is an encounter between flamenco's past and present; where the old and the new come together in one performance to express a timeless sense of music and movement. The performance will take you back in time to experience what it was like in the 18th century "Cafés Cantantes" (gathering places where drinks and flamenco recitals were offered).
In addition to the performance, there will be scheduled workshops in both dance and cante (singing) to those who wish to study with the world’s greatest artists.
